Coaching Requirements
Our coaches are expected to have the following standards:
- Youth tackle certification and background check through USA Football (https://usafootball.com/)
- Teach the modern style of football (pass first style of football). This includes modern passing offenses, formations, plays and appropriate defenses and defensive strategies to counter opponents.
- Passion to help develop football players from all areas of Erie and be part of Erie Sports Center Football Academy player pathway
- Positive and upbeat attitude
- Be able to motivate players in a fun and positive manner while still holding them accountable
- Work with a team of like minded coaches to develop the athletes and teams through practice in a fun environment.
- Be able to work through the process of building a team and players to be their best and not focus on chasing trophies.
- Maintain professional behavior on and off the field to represent our organizations with class and honor.
